A magazine about the rest of your life.
Civelle is an independent lifestyle magazine by women veterans, for women veterans, in every branch and every era. We write for the woman who is fifty with a teenager, a second career, aging parents and knees that remember every ruck march.
Service is the lens, not the whole subject. We cover style, money, health, home, travel, love, friendship and second acts, with the honesty and humor of people who have been there. We cover the hard stuff too, carefully, and never as the whole story.
No camouflage, no flag borders and no “thank you for your service.” Just a good-looking magazine that happens to know you’ve served.

Founder · U.S. Army veteran · West Point graduate
Laura Law is a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of West Point, where she majored in English literature. She founded Civelle because she realized there was no lifestyle magazine that met the needs of women veterans.
After her military service, Laura co-founded the GI Film Festival, ran the USO in Japan, and most recently served as chief operating officer of Stars and Stripes. She has spent her adult life sharing veterans’ stories.
